Vilaya is a prestigious celebration presented by Nandanik Dance Troupe, bringing together renowned artists and emerging talents on one remarkable stage. This event offers a captivating experience, illuminating audiences with the richness, grace, and cultural heritage embodied through the art of dance.
Nandanik Dance Troupe is hosting the 9th “Dance for Cure” event in Pittsburgh, PA, along with American Cancer Society, to honor cancer survivors and patients. We will donate up to seventy-five percent of the proceeds to American Cancer Society (ACS). Talented local dancers and musicians are coming together to present their art forms, all bound together with the goal of stomping cancer and celebrating the cultural diversity of Pittsburgh. Among the artists we have cancer survivors and those who have seen cancer affect a family or friend. Please join us to celebrate the special gift of life while pledging to eradicate cancer and support the care of those who need it most.

Vilaya 2024 is featuring CHITRANGADA written by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore in 1913 this dance theater questions gender definitions, biases, perspective rules and illusions in a man’s world.
The event is supported by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Creative Sector Flex Grant, Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council and PNC.

Nandanik Dance Troupe is excited to announce its first ever Virtual Fundraiser Dance Competition, MUKULIKA 2021, USA.
Mukulika's mission is to provide a platform to young artists pursuing their passion in the field of Indian classical dance forms. The theme this year is 'HOPE'. As we all know Art is the best form of healing and recovery, and provides solace in the times of stress. It reduces barriers between people, cultures and languages. Mukulika 2021 is a step by NDT to reinforce the importance of creativity, hope, and compassion in these unprecedented times.

NDT cordially invites you to Nabapatra: the Vilaya Young Artists Festival. This two day virtual event will present emerging and skilled dancers in a variety of styles from Canada, the US, India, and Australia. This event will be premiered in parts on YouTube - the NDT channel.
The third virtual episode in the Vilaya Vivartia series features a panel discussion with Bipasha GuptaRoy (USA) and Bisakha Sarkar (UK) as a Tribute to Amala Shankar and contemplation on the training and practice of Shankar style of movements. The discussion will be followed by a lecture demonstration and performance by Jaydeep Palit (India), Chandra Kolay Biswas (India), and Sulagna Sarkar (India). This sen will be live-streamed on the Nandanik Dance Troupe facebook page and via a zoom webinar.

CARD COUNTRY- A musical in English by Rabindranath Tagore- An endeavour to try and break all stereotypes and barriers in our minds. This is choreographed and performed by Sanjib Bhattacharya and Nandini Mandal and Troupe .
