Nandanik Dance Troupe @nandanaikdancetroup presents the fifth Indian classical and contemporary dance festival VILAYA, The Confluence!!
Vilaya 2024 is featuring CHITRANGADA written by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore in 1913 this dance theater questions gender definitions, biases, perspective rules and illusions in a man’s world.
The event is supported by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Creative Sector Flex Grant, Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council and PNC.

Nandanik Dance Troupe is excited to announce its first ever Virtual Fundraiser Dance Competition, MUKULIKA 2021, USA.
Mukulika's mission is to provide a platform to young artists pursuing their passion in the field of Indian classical dance forms. The theme this year is 'HOPE'. As we all know Art is the best form of healing and recovery, and provides solace in the times of stress. It reduces barriers between people, cultures and languages. Mukulika 2021 is a step by NDT to reinforce the importance of creativity, hope, and compassion in these unprecedented times.

Vilaya Vivartita: Creative Style (Virtual) Episode 3
The third virtual episode in the Vilaya Vivartia series features a panel discussion with Bipasha GuptaRoy (USA) and Bisakha Sarkar (UK) as a Tribute to Amala Shankar and contemplation on the training and practice of Shankar style of movements. The discussion will be followed by a lecture demonstration and performance by Jaydeep Palit (India), Chandra Kolay Biswas (India), and Sulagna Sarkar (India). YATRA- A rare jugalbandi of Kuchipudi and Kathak by Canadian artists Harikrishan Nair and Tanveer Alam.
CARD COUNTRY- A musical in English by Rabindranath Tagore- An endeavour to try and break all stereotypes and barriers in our minds. This is choreographed and performed by Sanjib Bhattacharya and Nandini Mandal and Troupe .
